Silicone vacuum casting is to use the original CNC prototype to make a silicone mold in a vacuum state, and pour it with PU, transparent PU, similar POM,similar ABS materials in a vacuum state to copy a lot of parts same to the original prototype.
The advantages of vacuum casting are high assembly precision, no mold opening cost, low production cost, fast delivery etc. About 20 pieces of the same product can be made using a silicone mold.
Second, the silicone mold can be made of materials: ABS, PC, PP, PA, silicone, soft rubber, transparent samples.
3. The steps of making the silicone mold can be divided into three steps.
1. Prototype: Before making a silicone mold, a prototype needs to be made. Prototypes can be made by 3D Printing, Rapid Prototyping and CNC machining.
2. Silicone mold: After the prototype is ready, start making the silicone mold. After eight hours of drying and get out the original prototype. then the silicone mold is now ready.
3. Injection molding: inject the liquid gum material into the silicone mold and dry it. The service life of the silicone mold is about 20 mold times.
